LHS is noted for its academic climate and high graduation rate (92% or higher for the last three years). It is also known for its global focus (IB, robust language offerings including Arabic, Mandarin, German, French, Spanish, and Advanced Spanish Immersion).

We also offer AVID and a wide range of CTE programs (audio engineering, biomedical sciences, construction, product design, culinary arts, business, education, computer science, digital media, and broadcast journalism). Combined, the IB and AVID programs focus on inquiry based teaching and learning with CTE programs aligned to this philosophy offering additional hands-on project based instruction in preparation for both college and career opportunities.

Students are supported to learn by asking critical questions, inquiring, and doing/applying skills in all subjects and classrooms. In addition, LHS is proud of its 6A athletics programs and over 90 student-led extra-curricular clubs and activities.
